Everything we produce in agriculture, industry or tourism is offered in the healthy natural environment of our community, with traditions and customs.
Agriculture is he important activity in our community. The main crops are: wheat and rye culture, corn and potato cultivation, fruit growing, vegetable growing. The climatic conditions specific to this area have favored the development of agriculture, in which an important role belongs to animal husbandry. Over the years, small orchards with fruit trees have been created. The commune’s economy is predominantly agriculture, with a good representation of the livestock sector, supported by the high share of natural pastures.
In recent years, the production units of the secondary sector, represented only by the workshops of small craftsmen, are completed with a toy assembly unit. Forestry is one of the important sources of income of the commune.
The tourist attractions of great attraction are the natural and architectural monuments, among which we mention: Valcău Fortress, Reformed Church and Barcăului Valley.
