Dobrosloveni confirms openness to international investments following the visit of the Ambassador of India
December 2025 – The Commune of Dobrosloveni had the honor of welcoming the visit of
His Excellency Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Ambassador of India to Bucharest,
who was accompanied by his family, a gesture expressing trust, openness, and a beautiful sense of closeness toward our community.

The visit included an official meeting with the leadership of the local public administration, during which
His Excellency was received by the Mayor of Dobrosloveni Commune, Mr. Gheorghe Tudorașcu, together with representatives of the administrative staff. Discussions focused on opportunities for foreign investment and directions for economic cooperation, with an emphasis on the sustainable development of the community.
Mayor Gheorghe Tudorașcu highlighted the local administration’s openness to strong partnerships based on mutual respect and a long-term vision.
The local public administration reaffirmed its willingness to engage in dialogue, collaboration, and joint development, for the benefit of the residents of Dobrosloveni Commune.
A moment of profound symbolic significance was the planting of a tree at the cultural landmark Casa Malvei in Romula, a gesture symbolizing the deep rooting of friendship and cooperative relations between India and the land of Dobrosloveni. The discussions continued afterward at the Dobrosloveni Cultural Center, in an official yet open and friendly setting, alongside guests and representatives of the local administration.
His Excellency emotionally noted three essential similarities between our community and Indian traditions: hospitality, dance, and the joy of sharing a meal together. At the same time, he emphasized the deep compatibility between the two cultures, united by emotion, mutual respect, and the shared sense of belonging to the same humanity.
Following the dialogue, the next steps were outlined for the implementation of solid and sustainable investments, intended to bring tangible benefits to our community.
The visit of His Excellency represented not only an important diplomatic moment, but also a sincere encounter between people, cultures, and shared values.
