GAL VALEA SIRETULUI DE JOS- Suceava County- Local Action Group- representing 42 190 inhabitants, 22 153 ha agriculture surface, 6 communities and 2605 private companies that share a common goal: to develop the designated region through cooperation and to support for export/import, to attract new cooperation, investment funds. Types of Projects: Small farms, processing of agricultural products, agri-tourism, guesthouses, traditional crafts, and cultural events.
The microregion’s opportunities are generated by: the existence in the area of raw materials for the agri-food industry (wheat, corn, sunflower, potatoes, dairy products, eggs, honey, etc.); the existence of the potential for obtaining organic products; old traditions in the processing of local resources (such as ice cream); local traditions in raising animals, especially sheep; the existence of local business communities, represented by commercial companies and authorized individuals with activity in the area.
Tourism and agrotourism – 15 historical monuments – archaeological sites, churches, monasteries, fortresses and traditions – wool processing, wood processing or egg dyeing, animal skin craftsmen;
