Touristic program in Danube Delta
Excursion that will take you to the heart of the Danube Delta, on an exceptional route, where you will discover what the Danube Delta really means. You will discover areas with amazing landscapes, which shelter different species of birds: cormorants, gray herons, yellow herons, night herons, gypsies and egrets. We will make short stops of the boat to admire them and to take photos. Baclanesti Lakes and Fortuna Lake, which are part of the Sontea-Furtuna lake complex, offer an interesting view, where you can meet groups of pelicans, swans, lizards, cormorants. After a visit to the fishing village Mila 23 we will continue the story route on the chain of lakes between Crisan and Mila 23. Route: Tulcea – Sireasa canal – Sontea gorge – Nebunu lake – Baclanesti lake – Fortuna lake – Sontea Lata canal – Olguta canal – Mila 23 – Eracle canal – Radacinos lake – Trei Iezere lake – Amiaza lake – Bogdaproste canal – Bogadaproste lake – stump canal – Crisan and return.
The following stops are made on the route:
For visiting the fishing village Mila 23, a Russian-Lipovan village, but also the birthplace of the famous canoeist Ivan Patzaichin;
The tourist information center of the DDBRA from Crisan (except on Mondays, when it is closed);
A fishing game in perch, redfish, crucian (duration 45 minutes) – fishing rods and baits included;
Danube Delta Resort, Crisan – to serve a fish lunch prepared according to “Recipes from another age” (optional – for a fee).
The restaurant offers both traditional fish dishes, such as: fish borscht in a cauldron on stew, sturgeon juicer, burechite soup, baked fish brine on the plate, Lipovan plate, Black Sea turbot, but also non-fish dishes under the signature of the chef, such as: lamb chops with mashed potatoes with olives and onion pearls, served with mint sauce or duck leg with champagne boiled pear, currant sauce with green pepper, barbeque ribs or beef muscles royal, as well as other Romanian or international cuisine.
You can take a bath in the heated pool (min 32 degrees Celsius, both day and night), of generous dimensions (150 m3 of water), with a depth of 1.4 m to 2 m, equipped with underwater massage installations, hydromassage waterfall and chromotherapy installation
